What Really Happened To Nancy Guthrie?
Local and federal law enforcement have failed their most basic duty to categorize this obvious abduction-murder as an abduction-murder, instead of an open ended ransom-based kidnapping and/or burglary gone bad.

It has been more than two weeks since Nancy Guthrie was abducted yet law enforcement believes Nancy is still alive and has not created a realistic suspect list using traditional investigative methodology.
Facts are stubborn things. The fact is since Nancy was abducted the family has received no legitimate ransom demand for money. Period.
This bears worth repeating: Nancy's family, the media, law enforcement or anyone else has received any legitimate ransom demand for money, much less proof of life from anyone.
This raw naked fact categorically indicates that Nancy's abduction was an abduction-murder instead of a ransom kidnapping.
This fact-based conclusion escapes local and federal law enforcement, the media and even Savannah Guthrie herself.
It is understandable that Savannah Guthrie is having the most difficult time trying to analyze what happened to her mother, as Savannah remains in the throes of cascading waves of grief.
February 16, 2026 - Savannah released this video of her latest appearance in this case.

Naturally Savannah Guthrie still hopes and believes that her mother is still alive - which is completely understandable.
But local and federal law enforcement has no such excuse to continue to claim they believe Nancy may still be alive.
Conversely, law enforcement has more evidence and reason to believe that Nancy was the victim of a targeted abduction-murder than a ransom-based kidnapping; yet law enforcement has not even discussed or mentioned the most likely possibility that Nancy was THE TARGET of an ABDUCTION-MURDER SPONSOR who paid someone to abduct Nancy Guthrie AND paid someone to permanently dispose of Nancy Guthrie.
When an objective investigator examines the facts of this case that investigator would be prudent to surmise that Nancy was THE TARGET of someone who wanted to kill Nancy for their own selfish purposes; and consequently could have employed an abduction team and a disposal team.
It is entirely possible that her abduction was executed by a lone individual with the physical and mental skills and experience to break and enter her home BEFORE Nancy heard anything until the abductor awakened her in her bedroom.
There is no doubt that at some point in time, Nancy was awakened by her abductor and began screaming, whereupon the abductor punched her very hard, knocking her semi-conscious and then injected her with Demerol which would have instantly rendered her totally unconscious.
Then the abductor could have pulled the netting from his backpack and wrapped Nancy in that netting and slung Nancy over his shoulders and back like a sack of potatoes and exited the house and the area on foot until he reached the exit vehicle.
From the moment the abductor rendered Nancy unconscious until Nancy was placed in an exit vehicle, approximately less than ten minutes could have passed until the abduction team exited the area with Nancy fully unconscious.
This abduction could be consistent with a targedted abduction-murder scenario where the abduction team hands Nancy off to a disposal team who further exits the state with the unconscious body of Nancy Guthrie.
IF this was an abduction-murder, it is entirely possible that two small teams were used to achieve the goal of the abduction-murder sponsor.
THE QUESTION that law enforcement and Savannah Guthrie has not asked is THE MAIN QUESTION any good investigator would ask in this instance:
Why in the world would anyone want to abduct and kill Nancy Guthrie?
That seminal question is THE STARTING POINT for any viable, realistic investigation of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
The next step for any serious investigator would be to engage in traditional law enforcment investigative methods, which is to compile a list of persons or groups who may have held any serious animosity towards the Guthrie family.
Unfortunately local and federal law enforcement have not been treating this case as a possible abduction-murder but as a ransom-based kidnapping or a botched burglary gone bad - neither of which is supported by the facts of this case.
So far local and federal law enforcement has done plenty of huffing and puffing about being hot on the trail, setting up roadblocks and following phone/email leads and presenting evidence that may not be related to this case at all, in hope of giving the appearance that law enforcement is doing their job.
